Service Advisor

Full Time, Permanent, Night Shift

Reporting to the Service Manager, you will be the dealership’s front-line client relations and service representative. Your reliable communication skills enable you to explain vehicle diagnosis and provide your expertise based on your communication with the technicians. We are hiring a Service Advisor for the night shift (4 PM - Midnight).

Responsibilities

  • Determine equipment and vehicle problems and services by listening to customer's description of symptoms and clarifying description of problems.

  • Develop estimates by costing materials, supplies, and labor.

  • Prepare repair orders (RO) by describing symptoms, problems, and causes discovered, as well as repairs and services required.

  • Maintain customer rapport by explaining estimates and expected return of vehicle; obtaining customer's approval of estimates and answering questions and concerns.

  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading manufacturers' publications.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.

  • Valid driver's license.

  • At least two year's experience in customer service.

  • Experience in a previous Service Advisor role is considered an asset.

  • Experience with shop management software (ie CDK, etc).

  • Good knowledge of the applicable safety regulations and procedures.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work in a team-driven environment.

  • Good time management and problem-solving skills.
